Weekly Fishing Report-Week of 6-6

As many of you know, Stripers are being caught with regularity; on the bay side, the Barnstable Harbor and Brewster Flats areas have been producing nicely. For the Ocean Side Bishop and Clerks is a good bet, still chilly for Monomoy. The canal is also still doing well. Sea Bass and Scup are being caught frequently, and for those the Tire Pile is a good a place as any to go get some. If your in a Bluefishing sort of mood, try West Dennis Beach, but reports for blues haven’t been too strong lately. For freshwater fisherman, topwater action like poppers and buzzplugs have been working fantastically when the wind dies down, and a wacky rigged senko worm in a variety of colors also has been bringing success. Happy Fishing!

Weekly Fishing Report- 6/2

Sea Bass have been being caught with decent regularity on Nantucket Sound, the Tire Pile has been producing nicely, and we had one 4 pounder weighed in that was caught off of Centerville. Schoolie Bass are still common in the rivers and off of sound side beaches, also the Brewster Flats still have decent amounts of bass. Bluefish have been scattered, not many reports of schooling populations, just a lot of one here, one there type action. Brave the weather this week and hope it gets better by the weekend!

Ice Out!

Ice out and night time temps in the forties means one thing…big largemouth are looking for food. While they still may be lethargic and picky that doesn’t mean that they won’t snap up an enticing meal if they get the opportunity. If you’re looking to brave the shores and chase these elusive lunkers come get fitted with some of our insulated Pro-Line Waders, then hit the lake. A suspending jerkbait, a texas rigged Senko worm, or a 3/8th oz to 1/2 oz jig fished nice and slow are all great tactics to try, or if you’re more of a live bait fan, you can never go wrong with a dozen night crawlers and a lively batch of shiners. Don’t get discouraged by the dragging winter, come in and get what you need to get back on the fish!
